I've switched to a TP-Link Archer T4E but now I'm struggling with slow downloads and unstable connections. Previously I had speeds of 120-150 Mbps down and 35-40 Mbps up, but now I'm experiencing 3-4 Mbps download and 9 Mbps upload. I've checked various solutions from online communities, but nothing seems to help. I no longer rely on Ethernet since the modem is far away and my brothers' devices are connected through it. My main concern is being able to play games without interruptions or worrying about losing connection because of slow internet or network problems. My current ping remains steady at 25-35 ms, but my WiFi card often fails unexpectedly.

No alterations have occurred in the machine or surroundings between the Wi-Fi base station and the computer. Obstacles such as walls, signals, or even hidden components like a monitor’s metal backplate can significantly diminish the signal range if positioned between the source and receiver. The transmission rate might remain unchanged, yet fewer packets successfully reach their destination, indicating interference. Similarly, software updates—whether switching apps or changing programs—can still impact performance even without CPU changes. From a hardware standpoint, both ends of the Wi-Fi connection frequently require detailed specification.
