Searching for a trustworthy PCIe Wi-Fi/Bluetooth chip under $40. Must meet BT 4.2 or better, Wi-Fi needs 802.11ac. One option looked good: Amazon.com: TP-Link AC1300 PCIe WiFi PCIe Card (Archer T6E) – 2.4G/5G Dual Band Wireless PCI Express Adapter, Low Profile, Long Range, Heat Sink Tech, Works with Windows 10/8.1/8/7/XP.

This concept works well with an existing card. Remember to connect the USB cable for Bluetooth functionality.

Verify your existing components before purchasing. This AX200 card fits M.2 Key E form factor and also works with Key A. However, earlier wireless cards required miniPCI connectors, which differ from this design. If your card uses miniPCI, you’ll need the correct miniPCI adapter board for PCIe x1.
