PCIe Wi-Fi 6 or 6E card for desktop computers
Hello, I’m looking for a PCIe card that supports Wi-Fi 6 for my desktop. I’m currently considering the following options: one from Amazon.de, another from Amazon.de again, and a third from Gigabyte. The third option is available on their site but isn’t shipping to Cyprus. Could you share your thoughts and suggest alternatives? Since I’m based in Cyprus, I’d prefer delivery through Amazon Germany or the UK if possible.
Do you own a Wi-Fi 6 or 6E device? Obtaining such a module for your computer offers little advantage if your router can't provide it either. The 6E model appears more affordable, so I might choose that in the long run—but I'd check reviews before deciding.
A card would work well since you own the router and can grab one for 15 dollars.
From what I understand, the Ubiquiti UniFi 6 Lite Access Point is compatible with Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), meaning a 6E card wouldn't offer any advantage. However, if you intend to replace your router soon, that could change things. The AC lite operates on 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5), so neither Wi-Fi 6 nor 6E cards would provide any extra benefits.
It might not be accurate. I noticed the Intel AX210 works better on WiFi 5/AC compared to other cards I've used. This could be because newer WiFi standards demand higher-quality hardware, like improved amplifiers, which leads to a more reliable connection even with older networks.
