PCIe sound card malfunctions after adding a 2.5GbE PCIe device.
My audio performed well until I added a 2.5gbe PCIe adapter card. Operating system: Windows 11 Pro Motherboard: Gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT 8-Core Audio Card: Sound Blaster X AE-5 GPU: 2080Ti NVMe SSD I experimented with various slots for the audio card, testing both with and without the 2.5GBE chip, installing new drivers for both the card and the adapter. The motherboard seems to have some PCIe slots available, so not all can be used. There might be BIOS updates required. The GPU is in the orange slot, while the sound card was placed in the purple slot. It worked fine in both green slots even without the 2.5GBE card. If you need more details, feel free to share. Did your sound card include an extra power cord? It's possible it disconnected during the installation of the Ethernet module.
AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT is an 8-core chip, but I’m unsure about the specific IRQs and haven’t looked it up. I’ve turned off all unnecessary processes and startup programs to keep only what I need running.
