@TheFlyingSquirrel The i7-4790K is compatible with vt-d, unlike the i7-4770K. It also features an IGPU that can be overclocked. Since they share the same socket and generation, you can swap your i7-4770K for an i7-4790K and enable GPU passthrough. If you're still keen on this, check the Intel ARK comparison page for details. You might find a used unit around $250 online, and you could sell your i7-4770K for roughly $160 to $170 to help offset the cost. (Prizes available at the time!) The i7-4790K represents the pinnacle of the Hashwell desktop lineup. You could also consider swapping it for an i7-5775C, though support for Broadwell CPUs on ASUS boards appears limited. (Some thoughts: I was reviewing this and thought Hashwell likely supported vt-d on a few K models. That’s why I had a 3770K too—I wanted that feature. But I’m stuck with an older Intel line.) TL;DR: i7-3770K lacks vt-d, whereas i7-3770(non-k) does. For my setup, PCI passthrough or unlocked multiplier works best. FML)
