Aiming for 4 is fine, you can try 6 later. Previously I shot 6 x 22 at 1080 and it worked well. Starting with 4 sounds reasonable—just make sure your GPU can handle it without slipping.

The goal of using a sli is to enhance your gaming experience. It’s mainly about immersive surround sound and visuals. As long as you’re just showing or mirroring content, the extra features aren’t necessary—standard monitors work fine too. The 8x display is more than sufficient for most players.

If you don’t use SLI, surround gaming isn’t possible. Many think SLI’s main goal was linking multiple GPUs to one display. For more details, I’d love to find articles that explain this better.

He handles it both ways—single or multiple monitors. That’s why I’m checking what you’re doing. If your goal is gaming across all of them, you might just need to choose cards that ensure a smooth frame rate.
