Hi there, seems like a simple issue. Your mATX board has two x16 lanes and one x1 lane. The x1 slot near the GPU is very close to the fans, almost touching them. Can you relocate the sound card to the second x16 lane? It only supports a standard x1 connection.

Occasionally adding a second x16 lane causes both switches to shift to x8. Check your specific motherboard model for confirmation, or consult its manual.

The difference between x8 and x16 is minimal, only an x8 margin. The GPU used is an RX580. The documentation mentions Intel 10th Gen processors with PCIe 3.0 x16 support, but no mention of switching to x8 mode.

The second 16x slot functions solely for four times, linked to the chipset; using it doesn't affect the first slot.
