Hello. I tried to flash the BIOS on my AORUS B650 Board using a Q-Flash, but I encountered a red CPU warning. The motherboard is already installed, along with the GPU, PSU, RAM, CPU, and SSD. I followed these steps: I used a FAT32 USB drive with 8GB storage, renamed the BIOS file to "gigabyte.bin", inserted it into the correct slot, and pressed the Q-Flash button. The light flashed for five minutes before stopping. After turning off and restarting, the red CPU light stayed on. I repeated the process three times, but each time the PC wouldn’t start up when I pressed Q-Flash. It would power on but still show the red light. Eventually, I tried a third attempt, but the computer wouldn’t boot at all. The only idea I had was to remove everything and just connect the PSU directly to the motherboard. This might take a while, but I’m hoping it works.

Which BIOS version were you attempting to update? I’m unfamiliar with Gigabyte, but for an ASUS setup, a USB2 connection would be necessary if the USB drive used USB3.

I think I'm right. My flash drive is likely 2.0, it's an EMTEC 8gb model, and when I searched online it showed up as 2.0.

Hello, here’s the latest on your situation. I reached out to the Micro Center tech support to report my issue. The representative mentioned that motherboards need BIOS version 30 or newer for compatibility with the Ryzen 9700s. They suggested a faulty CPU or motherboard as the likely cause and advised returning the items for replacement. I also learned that placing the RAM in slots 1 and 3 instead of 2 and 4 might be connected to the problems I’m experiencing. Whether this is related or not, it seems like I’ll need to disassemble everything and start fresh.

Unlikely yet, but rearranging them into the right positions is fast and simple.

Hello. After placing the RAM in slots 1 and 3 to 2 and 4, the BIOS start screen began functioning. This problem has been resolved for me. Wishing success to anyone facing a similar situation in the future
