I recently attempted to install an SSD on my PC, but unexpectedly it wouldn't boot. I then tried re-seating the RAM and the GPU, yet there was still no POST. The GPU graphics card also didn't work. I continued cleaning various components—motherboard, RAM, slots, CPU—but nothing changed. (I even checked the CMOS.)
Later, I gave up for a while before returning, but now it won’t turn on at all. The PSU fans aren’t spinning, the CPU fans aren’t either, though the motherboard does have power because the LED lights are working. I tried the paper clip trick to test the PSU, which worked fine. I also used a new PSU, but it still wouldn’t power on. I changed the switch, bridged the pins, but it remains unresponsive.
My PC model is an Asus Prime A320M-K, with a Ryzen 5 2400G CPU, RX 580 GPU, and an Inplay GS550 Pro PSU.

You should invest in a dependably built PSU for your build. How old is the unit really?
I attempted to test the psu using the paper clip trick, but it works fine.
Paperclip tests are not accurate; they don’t show how much power the PSU can deliver to the whole system.

It might be worth looking for replacement parts from a friend instead of buying, and checking if your processor, RAM, and GPU function on another system with more power than what your current setup needs from a well-built PSU.
The test doesn't provide information about PSU health. There are many different voltages and polarities, with varying power output from the PSU to the motherboard, making it mostly possible to check if the fan is running. If you used a good, compatible PSU but it still doesn't work, the issue is likely with the motherboard itself. This CPU has its own graphics, so you might want to test without using the GPU. The RX 580 can consume a lot of power, and 550W isn't ideal, especially for a less reliable model, which could cause performance issues over time.
