I've adjusted the settings to zero and everything functions smoothly. The link from Microsoft clarifies everything well. I don't understand why people are so wary of the registry editor, but after using it often, I know it's safe as long as you apply common sense. Most registry values will revert to their defaults or be ignored if they're incorrect. Still, I suggest creating a restore point because what works on one system may not work on another.
Hello! Thanks for sharing the details. It seems the problem might be related to the GPU itself. I realized I didn’t remove it from the case during transport, which could have caused damage. I bought a GT730 to test if it would work properly and managed to boot it several times. Later, when I tried mounting the 3070 again, I was able to boot, but after about ten minutes of watching YouTube videos, the same error kept appearing (VIDEO TDR ERROR). I also tried placing the GPU in a different slot to check if the issue was hardware-related, but it still triggered the same problem after about twenty minutes. I plan to take it to a service center this weekend for inspection.
Post code 97 can be searched online. It indicates a hardware issue that can be looked up using the internet.
You only encounter the 97 error after GPU overload and then restarting, sometimes resolving it but often needing to reinsert the card. I'm unable to use the GPU underload feature at all. Upgrading my power supply from 750w to 1000w fixed the boot issue without the error, though I still face display problems when the GPU is under strain.
Hello everyone. Here’s a brief update from my side. I brought my GPU to the service center, which turned out to be a collection hub, and they sent it to the main service location in another city. It took two weeks, but it was fixed. After testing it on my build, everything is working properly again. I’ve been playing Elden Ring and Doom Eternal at near maximum settings for the past couple of days, and there were no problems. Thanks to all who helped with the solutions—I hope this reminds you to remove the GPU from your build when moving it to another place.
