Sure, I'll spin up the idea. Just need a CPU, motherboard, RAM, power supply, and maybe a GPU if it's integrated. Otherwise, you'll need a video card too.

Testing with a faulty CPU provides no real value. When the system starts it will execute several checks (simplified here): 1) Self verification, confirming board parts are functioning correctly 2) CPU response assessment 3) RAM functionality check 4) GPU status evaluation 5) Overall system stability. Powering on succeeds only after all steps complete, as a CPU issue would block step 2. Issues like defective RAM slots or PCIe ports remain undetected since they wouldn't trigger these tests. The entire POST sequence must succeed before confirming the board is operational.

Referring to what was mentioned earlier, that's why I purchased a Pentium G620—cheaper than the Celerons, somehow—to try and test and update a "retired working machine" B65 motherboard.
