PC with Xbox steering wheel Xbox steering wheel connected to a personal computer
Hi everyone, I just acquired a Thrustmaster 458 spider steering wheel and peddles. It functions as an Xbox controller on PC, but it doesn’t work with MS Store games. In any other game, it appears correctly and works well—like changing bindings in Forza. This suggests there might be a way to adapt it for PC, possibly through a mapping tool or virtual controller setup. I’m considering using a mapping program to simulate an Xbox controller, though I’m not sure if free options exist. Alternatively, building a custom driver could help, but that would take time. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks ahead.
Hi, I understand you're trying to connect it to a controller for smoother control. You mentioned needing a more direct method than autohotkey since it functions well in Microsoft Store games. The device is labeled "Xbox Gaming Device" in Device Manager, though it seems limited to one axis in ATS. Moving parts like wheels or pedals should adjust its mapping. It also doesn't appear in the Game Controllers section where you can fine-tune settings.
