The PC might not have completed activation, even though no watermark appears. Using the MS account code could trigger activation, but if it still shows as unactivated, there may be an issue with the license or account permissions.

Navigate to the activation options and press the troubleshoot option. When prompted about the issue, respond with "i recently changed my hardware". This should restore Windows functionality.

You've managed to get me back, really. I wasn't aware you could accomplish this, but now I have a fresh Windows copy after the latest installation using the same setup as my old PC. Thanks!

It’s possible to revert to a home version without fully reinstalling, but the process may vary depending on the software.
