PC will start only with Windows 11 after clearing the CMOS battery.
However the person who solved it used the multi install iso+ rufus. It might be that there's an ish with the ISO having support for newer hardware.
So it just means running setup again to see if it works or not.
Otherwise probably ask samsung see what they know.
Yes, that's the right motherboard! I'll double-check all the connections to ensure they're secure. I'll also review the BIOS after resetting the CMOS and will replace the battery. Thanks!
also when you're setting up windows make sure only one drive is connected. Windows can sometimes place the boot partition on the wrong drive. Often when faced with several similar drives it panics and says 'I don't know which drive to use' so it puts it anywhere. This wasn't addressed in the update for win 11. I've also encountered some linux installers writing the grub loader to an unspecified partition too. They seem to be functioning within certain limitations of low-level coding that lacks much flexibility. It requires a major overhaul, but this hasn't happened yet.
Quick update, got in touch with Gigabyte support and explained the issue I was having along with everything I had tried to resolve the issue. They told me to return the motherboard back to Amazon which I have done, I have now replaced the motherboard in my PC which has fixed the issue. Looks like there was something wrong with that board after all.
I appreciate all that made suggestions and took time to comment!
