Hi everyone, I'm looking to upgrade my PC. Currently I'm running an Intel i5 2500, which works fine but isn't powerful enough. I'm considering the i5 9400f with a B360 or the R5 3600 with a B450. My budget is about $450. I play games such as GTA 5, Rainbow Six Siege, CS GO, and WoW, among others. Any suggestions for alternatives? Thanks!

Choose the 3600 for its adaptability—it's the most versatile option among the two you discussed.

Order a B450 board paired with a Ryzen 5 3600. That should cost about $300, leaving you with $150 for additional upgrades. Perfect RAM for that setup—32GB plus a decent CPU cooler and a 16GB memory module. I run the 3600 with 32GB RAM on this board myself. It handles music production, photo editing, video editing, and gaming well. It’s an excellent value for the price! Edit: (search B-die finder if you’re ready to put in the effort—maybe even better performance)

You're considering a JCYQZ B450 Max ATX motherboard with 16GB Corsair 3200MHz RAM for a 3600 rating. You already have a compatible cooler, and you're based in Bulgaria where components cost more than in the US.

The mobile version performs better, while the RAM I installed is also improved.

The top RAM under 100 dollars is usually the one you find on that site: https://www.vario.bg/komponenti-pamet?orderby=Edit. The second option mentioned is https://www.vario.bg/gskill-trident-z-di...6d-16gtzsw and https://www.vario.bg/gskill-ripjaws-v-di...16d-16gvkb.
