It could be related to RAM retention because you're using four sticks. Consider reducing the tREFI setting in RAM timings and check if it resolves the freezes.

I understand your request. For clarity, I'm working with 2x32GB instead of running 4 sticks. Please let me know what adjustments you'd like to make to the timing values, and I'll suggest suitable changes. You can also aim to align them with the original RAM specifications if needed.

You're experiencing some retention problems. Lowering the threshold might resolve it quickly. I also had freezing issues all day while trying to maximize my tREFI settings. RAM errors only appear when pushing high values, not during normal operation. Your RAM is clocked at around 32k tREFI, but you can test with a lower number like 22000. Remember, tREFI values aren't measured in ratios—just use any number you prefer. The maximum allowed is 65535.

Return the new RAM modules to the shop if you haven’t already, and exchange them for models with CL30 specifications.

The logic seems to stem from the CL38 kits operating at double speed, stressing the memory controller. Based on the QVL, this model appears to be a strong choice so far.

I'm confused about what might be causing your problems. The recommendation is to use cl30 for your CPU, aiming for a slight price advantage. I own these myself. Personally, I prefer RGB, which is why I chose the ones linked above.

Reduce the CL to increase memory controller activity. Smaller CL means more cycles, which helps in gaming where delays matter. However, RAM can be sensitive, so your controller might prefer a different setup for other tasks. Lower CL generally works well, but for activities like video editing, cl becomes less important. Bandwidth in MHz also plays a role.
