My computer stops unexpectedly while playing games. It doesn’t show a blue screen, just shuts down suddenly. I believe it’s not due to overheating. After using FURMARK for about twenty minutes, everything worked normally. Is this related to Windows 11? My OS is Windows 11 Home 64-bit. I think my drivers are current and checked updates in the Windows Update section. The BIOS version is 1301. The programs running before shutdown are Chrome, Steam, Razer Synapse, OneDrive, and Bluetooth. Here are my full system details: Phanteks Eclipse P400A motherboard from ASUS ROG STRIX Z590-E, a Core i5-11600K CPU at 3.9 GHz, Noctua NH-U12S cooling fan, Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB RAM, WD_BLACK 2TB SSD, Corsair HX1000 1000W GPU, and Gigabyte 3080 Ti Gaming PCIe 4.0 M.PSU.

Crashes occur during gameplay or mainly in highly demanding titles that strain peak power usage. My experience was similar, but unlike my case where the PC didn’t shut down, I encountered a Kernel Security Check Failure error. It turned out my motherboard couldn’t handle 4xRAMs on XMP profile, so I disabled XMP and the issue resolved.

Observed issues occurred while using Genshin Impact, likely not causing high power usage, but also affecting other systems such as a heavily modified Skyrim. The application stopped during an openGL performance test on GFXBench.

Have you experimented with playing any game using an iGPU instead of the 3080ti? This could help pinpoint whether the issue lies in the drivers or another factor. Testing the GPU on a different machine and running the same titles would aid in identifying the problem more precisely.

You can capture a snapshot of the critical error details in the event viewer. A sudden shutdown typically indicates a power-related problem rather than a driver issue, as the system protects itself from damage.

I've encountered issues with the graphics card and submitted it for repair since it wasn't displaying anything when linked to the motherboard. I'm checking if there are other potential causes first. Here are the key details:

- System: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power
- Error ID: 0x8000400000000002
- Timestamp: 2022-04-02T22:24:58.1648695Z
- Process: 4, Thread: 8
- Device: Danny-PC
- Security ID: S-1-5-18

No other indicators suggest the problem is isolated to this component yet.

The problem appears related to thermals, though it's unclear if the previous GPU replacement caused it. Were the issues consistent with the new GPU or changed?

Before it started getting very noisy, it stopped working completely. After turning it back on, nothing appeared when I connected it to a GPU. I returned it for fixing, and they told me there was an issue and sent it back repaired.

The faulty motherboard is probably the main issue, with the power supply coming in second.

I believe one of the connectors from the power supply wasn’t fully inserted. I double-checked that every wire connecting the power supply to the motherboard and GPU is properly connected, and it appears to be functioning correctly so far.
