PC turns on immediately upon waking from sleep.
Hi everyone.
I just installed a new MOBO and CPU, adjusted some BIOS settings (like RAM clock and fast boot), and have been attempting to put my PC to sleep but it always wakes up right after turning off. I turned off the "allow this to wake up computer" option on the mouse, keyboard, and network card in Device Manager. I also ran powercfg -lastwake and got these results: Wake History Count - 1, Wake History [0], Wake Source Count - 0. It's really frustrating.
Update: I also tried shutting down the PC, and it behaves the same way.
Consider reverting all BIOS changes to test the effect. If you have custom settings, they will be erased—make sure to note them before proceeding.
Please update your post with complete hardware details and operating system information. Also, specify the PSU specifications—make, model, wattage, age, and condition. Provide the disk drive information including make, model, and capacity. Let me know if you need help with the available power plans through the Control Panel.
I updated the bios, reset all settings to defaults, and then made a few adjustments. I'm not sure if that fixed the issue, but it seems resolved—just don't have the "mark as solved" checkmark on this post.
