Hello,
after unlocking the 4th core and running the prime95 test for about 20-30 seconds, my computer shut down. I checked the temperatures on the motherboard during the test:

motherboard
TMPIN0 – 37°C
TMPIN1 – 54°C
TMPIN2 – 68°C
CPU
all cores above 90°C caused the shutdown; I noticed this after unlocking the core. I read that incorrect temperature readings might be the issue.

I also played Dota 2 without any problems, and the temperatures were normal:

motherboard
TMPIN0 – 39°C
TMPIN1 – 52°C
TMPIN2 – 54°C
CPU
all cores around 88°C

Is there a solution? Should I lock the core and overclock the CPU, or should I replace the cooler since I’m using the stock one now?

motherboard gigabyte m68mt-d3
CPU: Athlon II X3 445 unlocked to Phenom II X4 B45 (L3 not unlocked)
ram: 4GB
GPU: Radeon HD 5670 1GB

Consider purchasing the aftermarket CPU cooler since you've unlocked the cores. Your motherboard supports up to 125W TDP CPUs, and the Phenom II X4 B45 has an 80W TDP, making it compatible with unlocked CPUs. Just remember, not every MB can handle this unlocking.
