PC stops working suddenly without warning.
Yesterday my computer became very slow when idle, stopped responding, and any applications wouldn't launch. I couldn't turn it off or restart, so I had to power it down by pressing the power button. After a few hours, the same problem returned but without lag. I could close apps but not open them, and again I had no choice but to shut it down. I ran some tests with Cinebench and Cyberpunk 2077, found nothing out of the ordinary. I removed the latest Windows update, checked my drivers, and scanned for corrupt files, but still got no results. Later, when I opened YouTube on Chrome, the issue repeated. I’m not sure what’s causing this, as it’s the first time this has happened.
2x8 from G.Skill also applies. My PSU is a MWE 650W Bronze, and I run my PC for about 3 to 6 hours each day.
the power supply's overall time of use is measured similarly to its lifespan, not daily usage. Most units in the MWE series are of mid-low quality, and after prolonged use they tend to develop problems similar to those observed now.
