i7-9700k aorus z390 master
Peladn gtx 1660 ti
16 gb g skil tridentz
cooler master 650w gold
CPU temperature remains between 60 and 65°C, power consumption up to 120W
GPU temperature stays around 60-60°C, power draw up to 118W
I’ve noticed the PSU can manage spikes but the PC still crashes randomly. Mostly play Rainbow Six Siege at 1080p with high settings.
Tried swapping GPU slots, adjusting PCIe power cable, and limiting GPU power in Afterburner to 60%. Lowering game settings to low and resolution to 1600x900 reduced GPU temperature to 50°C and power to 50W. CPU temp also dropped to 55°C with about 50W draw.
Still, the issue persists—PC shuts down mid-game sometimes. It could be the PSU, the GPU, or another part entirely? What should I do next?
the cooler master rm650w gold seems to be a Corsair model. If that's correct, how recent is your system? You may want to check if obtaining a well-built power supply from borrowing or purchasing can ease this problem. What BIOS version does your motherboard use?
