Today I swapped my Ryzen 7 2700 for a Ryzen 5 5600. I tested CP2077 and after just 30 seconds the PC stopped working. I ran stress tests on different components to find the issue. First two tests didn’t trigger shutdown, but the last two did. Pushing the cache caused immediate power-off after one second. Overclocking the system memory led to shutdown after about 30 seconds. My BIOS is current, and I haven’t done any overclocking. Any suggestions or solutions? Thanks a lot.

It might be your power supply unit beginning to malfunction. Check the PSU tierlist for 'Tier F • Replace immediately'. If the PSU is acting strange, your computer could experience crashes during intense gaming or heavy load testing.

Shutdowns usually point to a power supply problem. That’s just a basic power supply, which is expected. We don’t skimp on PSU quality, no matter how appealing it might seem.

Wouldn't it be risky for my PC to fail after stress testing the CPU? Running at full CPU load also drains power. I plan to check for a better PSU and post updates later, though I don't know the timeline.

Stay informed about your setup. A faulty power supply can act unpredictably and impact components in various ways. I understand your PSU isn<|pad|>, it’s not modular—just ensure you never connect the old cables to the new one! Swap everything out.

I purchased the MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS and everything functions correctly. It seems manufacturers sometimes claim everything works, but it doesn’t always be true.
