I followed the ASUS general guide and also checked the Reddit thread about my Mobo. It was tricky to figure out which pins were which because the setup is quite unusual for ASUS. I chose the pins on the right side of the phd6000 pin set, as shown in the thread’s image. I used two screwdrivers for 10 seconds. After that, I plugged in the PSU and tried booting a few times to see if the DEL stayed active. The monitor didn’t respond. I’m not sure what this means or if I made a mistake, but I think it doesn’t eliminate the possibility of an issue with my RAM or motherboard.
Here are the pins I attempted (image link should function). The CLRTC indicators are slightly misaligned, making them hard to read. I'll proceed with the battery test and update soon.
Tried the battery method. Don't really understand what I'm doing, but used the two screwdrivers to touch the metal parts of the battery holder for a minute. Replugged, rebooted PC, both holding del and not, still no signal. Also tried a second battery, which is old, but worked fine last time I checked. Any other advice or methods would be appreciated, though I might not try them until morning since it's late here. If all else fails, I think replacing the motherboard and RAM could help, maybe the PSU will cover everything and work?
Turn off all USB devices....test.
Disconnect all disks....test.
Take out the GPU and connect to the IGPN....test.
Use just one stick of RAM in the correct slot....test.
If no help, try a different stick in the slot....test.
Set aside the BIOS battery and store it.
Visit the store and purchase a new battery.
Install the new battery...test.
After checking again following my last update, I noticed the issue was with the motherboard. Eventually, the RAM and CPU also failed. It looks like during the 2023 replacement, I might have installed the new motherboard too snugly using an incorrect screw type in one corner, causing stress or static that led to failure. The board lasted about ten months before it gave out completely. I had to replace the entire PC later on. The graphics card, power supply, fans, and drives were all working fine.
