PC startup loops without OS, GPU connected
SPECS: Intel Core I3 - 12100F 3.3 GHz Quad Core Board: MSI PRO H610m-G DDR4 MICRO ATX LGA1700 Board RAM: Teamgroup vulcan Z 16gb DDR4 - 3600 CL18 Storage: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1tb m.2 Power Source: EVGA 550 BP 550 W 80+ Bronze GPU: RX 580 8GB Issues: Whenever I power on the PC everything works until a flashing white VGA light appears, followed by a red CPU light and then it shuts down repeatedly in a cycle. Steps I've tried: - reinserting the RAM - reattaching the GPU - swapping the GPU - changing the motherboard - resetting the CMOS battery - inspecting the cooler If this is clearly fixable, please note this is my first PC build. I observe the issue only occurs when the graphics card is connected; my CPU lacks built-in graphics so I can't verify POST without the GPU. It doesn't loop on and off and definitely isn't a GPU problem since I replaced the first one but still face this problem.
Checked other RAM sticks one by one. The GPU isn't in the list—what alternatives have you used? Consider a 600W power supply. A blinking white light means low power; it’s suggesting the GPU and processor are sleeping, so disable fastboot and hibernation.
It lacks an operating system, which is why I can't post it and it keeps looping unexpectedly.
Absolutely, the outcomes remain consistent when using both sticks individually in separate slots.
