I updated my old setup with a fresh CPU, motherboard, RAM, and SSD. Everything arrived and I assembled it, but now it won’t boot at all—even the BIOS. It works with just one stick of RAM. It functions properly with one stick, though. When I try to use two sticks, a red LED lights up saying the CPU is detected. I verified this by swapping the sticks and booting independently. If anyone has any advice that could help, it would be really useful. My current specs are: CPU – AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, Motherboard – Tomahawk B550, RAM – Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3600, GPU – Evga 980Ti.
I reviewed the compatible options and saw they aren't included. I wasn't aware you needed RAM specifically designed for Mobo support. I assumed DDR4 would work, but I realize now it might not be reliable. There are problems with using unsupported RAM, like potential instability or hardware damage.
Have you verified your system's BIOS settings? Also, inspect the CPU for any bent pins. The memory controller is integrated into the CPU.
I just installed the newest BIOS from MSI. I also removed my CPU and checked everything thoroughly.

the issue persists despite various settings. i've tested multiple configurations, but it's not working. ordering a fresh set of sticks seems necessary, though it feels like the final option.
Confirming the setup: only one stick functions in slot A2. Inserting sticks into A1 and A2 fails. Are the B slots operational? For example, plugging a stick into B2. If B slots don’t work but A slots do, it suggests a motherboard or CPU problem.
