Hello everyone,

I wanted to share a bit of my experience. I spent a year stationed in Korea and stored my custom-built desktop in a climate-controlled unit. After arriving at my new location, I received my PC and installed a GTX 1070 to update everything before moving my 3070 from home. Unfortunately, the PC didn’t produce any video output initially. Once I connected the 3070, the issue persisted.

Before leaving the US, I had assembled this PC myself and used it for a year, though I had to flash the BIOS to ensure compatibility with the motherboard.

Here’s what I tried to troubleshoot:
1. Removed the motherboard battery and left it for ten minutes.
2. Disconnected and reconnected all motherboard cables to confirm proper seating.
3. Tested with two different GPUs, but the problem continued.
4. Swapped the monitor from the PC to a laptop; both worked together via HDMI.
5. Swapped RAM slots and RAM modules.

My questions are:
1. Would a BIOS flash reversion occur if the PC had been disconnected for a year?
2. Should I replace the motherboard battery?
3. What might be causing the lack of video output after a year of use with some changes?
4. Is it necessary to re-flash the BIOS?

PC Specifications:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
Motherboard: Gigabyte X570 Gaming X (PN: 12BB1-EX57GMX-00AR)
RAM: G-Skill RIPJAWS DDR4-3200 16Gx2 / VENGEANCE LPX DDR4 3200 (8Gx2)
GPU: ASUS RTX 3070 OC Edition with 8 GB memory
PSU: Rosewell 750 gig (silver or gold)

Thank you for your time.

PSU: Rosewell 750 gig (silver or gold)
Rosewill is the manufacturer name for this device, and 750W represents the claimed power output. The gold/silver finish indicates the advertised 80+ efficiency rating. Could you provide the model number and its age?

RAM: G-Skill RIPJAWS DDR4-3200 16Gx2 / VENGEANCE LPX DDR4 3200 (8Gx2)
If you're assembling this system with two sets of RAM simultaneously, please discard one kit. Place both RAM modules in slots A2 and B2.

You may consider obtaining a well-built PSU from someone else—either by borrowing or acquiring it locally—to potentially improve stability.

Regarding the BIOS: consult page 6 of this manual:
https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/M...10ece761cf
Use the Q-Flash Plus button on the motherboard (the white button beside the attached image).

The power supply model is CAPSTONE-750, though I can't determine its exact age. I've been using it for about ten years now.
I currently have only one RAM module, which is the 8 gig set.
I plan to check the BIOS flash as you suggested.
Edit: I also realized my RAM was installed in A1, B1 instead of A2, B2.
Edit 2: Just confirming, I'm reviewing the BIOS updates on Gigabyte's website and wondering whether it's better to flash to the latest version or first apply the F-36 update before moving to F-38F.
