So I powered on my PC built six months ago this morning. The system shows power with the GPU lighting up and fans spinning, but there’s no display or post. This has occurred twice before (about four months ago and one month ago), except after roughly 5 to 10 minutes it managed to boot. This time though, it seems it won’t start at all, even if I keep running it.

My thought is either a motherboard or CPU problem. My Asrock B650I doesn’t have any Mobo LED or beep sounds, so I can’t determine the exact cause.

So far I’ve tried:
1. Shorting the clips
2. Installing different RAM sticks in various configurations
3. Using another PSU
4. Disconnecting everything and booting just the CPU (9700X has an integrated GPU)

Basic specs:
Cooler Master 850w Gold
64gb Crucial DDR5
9700X
EVGA 2070 Super
Asrock B650I

At this point I’m leaning toward getting another Mobo and possibly a new PSU/CPU since the same issue keeps happening.

Thanks for any advice you all have.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Coolermaster 850w Gold is the PSU model, while 850W and Gold indicate the advertised wattage and 80+ efficiency rating. What is the exact model of your PSU?
Are you using an Asrock B650I?
Check this link: asrock.com/MB/AMD/B650I%20Lightning%20WiFi/index.asp
Do you have the motherboard you're working with?
At this stage, I'm considering purchasing another Mobo and possibly a new PSU or CPU because the same problem keeps occurring regardless of changes.
You can find more details here: https://pg.asrock.com/mb/photo/B650I Lightning WiFi(L6).png
Your board has a BIOS FLBK button on the back—follow this guide: View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPz7_A5TYis
to update your BIOS with the latest version.

try it outside the case, on a non conductive surface
only one ram stick
cpu with fan
motherboard
monitor in motherboard video port
psu
power button
reset bios by clrcmos jumper while power is off
verify if cables remain connected on the osu side too
remove the m.2 ssd if it is plugged in

Heya,
This is the exact PSU you're looking for:
Cooler Master V850 SFX Gold 850W Full-Modular 80 Plus Gold SFX Power Supply.
The V SFX Gold offers the same premium quality you expect from the V lineup in SFX packaging. It comes with 80 Plus Gold efficiency, full modular cabling, an FDB fan, 16AWG PCIe high-efficiency cables, and a 10-year warranty. Now it's available in...
www.coolermaster.com
And yes, you're on the right model—though the USB connection is tricky, as you mentioned. The power button lacks an LED, and the motherboard also doesn’t have any LEDs. It seems to function properly after a short wait, but the system still doesn’t seem to work consistently.

Edit:
There’s a flashback LED that works fine. It blinks briefly before stopping, following the manual and video instructions. It seems to function correctly, though the overall performance remains inconsistent.

It's likely the GPU is the issue.
Or possibly a PCIe port is malfunctioning.
