PC starts randomly restarting issues
Hi everyone!
I just installed a new PC (refer to the specs in my signature), and everything seemed normal during the first week. But after that, I started having random restarts without any minidump files to help diagnose. When the PC shuts down, the QLED light turns yellow, which suggests a RAM problem—though I’m not sure if it’s happening every day or just occasionally. It happens randomly, whether I’m gaming or just browsing. The event log only shows unexpected shutdowns, not more detailed issues. I think there might be a power supply or RAM issue, but I’d appreciate some better tests before I consider returning the product. Any advice on possible causes would be great! Thanks.
Is there anything else besides Event 41 visible?
Beyond SFC/DISM, it might be useful to inspect all your connections for power and peripherals connected to the motherboard. Verify that none of the pins are protruding from the back of the connector on the power supply side.
If you’re using an XMP profile or any overclocking configuration, ensure it’s turned off.
Have you carried out a clean installation for this build, or did you transfer data from an older system?
Only event 41 is visible. All screws and power connectors have been inspected already.
XMP was disabled, and no OC was attempted either.
This device came from a clean installation.
I don’t have much RAM left to test without it being a significant problem, but I’ve thought about trying just one stick instead. Still, if RAM was the problem, there should be at least a dump file available, not just a random restart.
