I own a Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3 PC. I encountered difficulties accessing the BIOS (deleted at POST / saw logo). I recalled Gateway's advice to power off the machine, disconnect the power cord, and remove the CMOS battery for 10 seconds. In reality, I left it on for more than a minute. After restarting, I reached the Award BIOS with the warning "CMOS checksum error - Defaults Loaded." I double-checked the battery installation and confirmed the PC froze and became unresponsive. Has "Black Beauty" finally stopped existing?

One stick of RAM fits in slot 2. Freezes are commonly linked to RAM usage.
