I just assembled my PC with all components connected and verified everything. When I pressed the power button, the motherboard RGB and lights briefly activated for a moment. I initially suspected a power supply issue but want to confirm it.

probably a generic power supply that has previously caught fire.
customer reviews on platforms like Amazon mention people purchasing these units only to find they never turn on.
one reviewer reported sparks coming from the power supply unit.

esgaming es-600w Question - New custom built PC but not really I already own an 1650 and 10400f, now I'm purchasing new components and a case. I just need to check if there could be any issues. i510400f gtx 1650 Asus prim h470m-plus/csm Gamdias GC1 with 4 preinstalled fans, Apevia captain 550w psu, EDUP PCI-E, Wi-Fi 6 network card, AX1800Mbps. I read on forums. that they should avoid an unstable PSU and might want to switch to a more reliable one to see if it improves things.

I also purchased the thermaltake PSU yesterday, but it didn't function properly—it behaved identically to the previous one, so I'm looking for any PSU priced at seventy dollars or less.
