PC speed limit is 100mbps, but other gadgets work fine
Hey there, back when my family switched to fiber internet, things were still a bit shaky. My computer maxes out around 100mbps, while my phone hits closer to 200mbps—exactly the speed my parents promised. It hasn’t been too bothersome since it’s still a big improvement over our old setup, but a few months have gone by and I want to get the most out of the connection. I’ve already adjusted the "Speed and Duplex" in Windows to 1gbps and confirmed all cables are CAT 5e or CAT 6. My router still shows my PC at 100mbit/s (LAN 2), though I’ve set all ports to 1gbps. I’ve also checked some online guides, but they didn’t seem to help much.
It seems unclear why it mentions a connection to a repeater, since your PC is linked directly to the router.
