The requirements for evil within game have been outlined, which is surprising. It appears the game isn’t very well optimized, as they claim it can’t ensure top performance with less than 4GB of VRAM. Is this indicating a faulty PC or simply a tough game? The system is using around 4GB of VRAM and RAM because newer systems often have 8GB available. Suggested setup includes a 64-bit Windows version, either 7 or 8, with four cores, 4GB RAM, and at least 50GB storage. GeForce GTX 670 or similar with 4GB VRAM is recommended. No minimum requirements were provided, but if your setup falls short of these specs, we can’t promise optimal results. http://www.bethblog.com/

No, Wolfenstein wasn't optimized poorly for PC. It was designed with the console in mind and ran smoothly on its target hardware.

They mentioned you'd need an i7 for Watch Dogs, but I can handle ultra settings on my 4670k without any issues.

Marketing nonsense, I’ll soar and reach the moon before we require an i7 for gaming.

It looks like we'll need a 5960X with 128GB RAM and a GTX 980 to handle the game smoothly at low to medium settings with 720p resolution.

http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2014/05/...-problems/ Some day 1 issues. Most likely sorted out by now. Posted from the other thread I created on this. I already petitioned it to be removed. Posting here instead: i7 with four plus cores when most games barely make use of dual core processors why does this game need a quad core processor let alone an i7? The last game I remember that "required" four cores was AC4:Black Flag and the game was modded to run on two cores with no problem*. They also fail to state a model number or clock speed so I guess any old i7 will work GeForce GTX 670 or equivalent with 4GBs of VRAM Unless this game is the next coming of graphical detail jesus I highly doubt you'll be needing 4GB of VRAM to make this game look any good. It's recommended that you have a lot of ram on your graphics card to make use of 4K textures, so why would this game that is also running on last gen consoles need 4GB of VRAM? 41GB install, seriously? Everything about this sounds like a terrible port. I would not recommend pre-ordering so that we avoid another Watch_Dogs incident.

I spotted a gameplay teaser for this title, and I must tell the river Styx these suggested requirements are completely unrealistic. These specs don’t match how tough the game actually is.

what's with the bad ports lately or games not living up to expectations. Is this like a new trend from developers? I mean seriously... . WHAT THE HELL!!!!! Are they purposely trying to make the PC look bad or is it just pure laziness to save some money.

PS3/360 signals the start of an age where Microsoft and Sony began securing temporary and permanent deals for their systems. PC has faded into the background for most creators. Few developers focus on PC, and those who do are exceptionally uncommon. Because publishers push for cost-cutting and profit maximization, investing extra effort to enhance a game by just 15% feels unnecessary. Even the most extreme criticisms—like QTE events and oversimplifying games—fall short of my view.
