PC shuts down/freezes when playing games
I’m experiencing repeated crashes and freezes while playing games, primarily during long sessions of demanding titles like Metro Exodus and Dante's Peak 5 (DMC 5). The issue seems to be intermittent – sometimes the game runs fine for a while, other times it freezes or crashes abruptly after just a few minutes, often when starting my PC. These crashes seem to occur more frequently with DMC 5. I’ve checked my temperatures using SpeedFan and they appear normal (screenshot attached), but I'm still stumped. The Windows Event Viewer shows numerous "DistributedCom" errors, though I don't fully understand what they signify. This has happened before, and a previous solution was a clean install of the operating system, which didn’t resolve the problem this time. My PC is running at optimal temperatures, but it still freezes and crashes.
