My PC occasionally shuts down by itself, usually during idle or at night. I haven’t seen any error messages in the logs. It only happens when the system is running low on power, possibly due to the PSU not cutting off properly. The case might still emit faint light even when it’s off. I’ve updated the BIOS recently and the latest version, but nothing seems out of place. The hardware appears fine, and overclocking isn’t being used except for memory tuning. The power supply is connected to a good backup unit, yet the PC fails to restart. Could be a power issue or a faulty PSU component.

The important point is that the PSU won't restart unless you switch the on/off button on it. This shows a safeguard has been activated. It could mean either a faulty UPS or a bad PSU. To check the UPS first, disconnect it and connect directly to the wall to observe if the issue persists. If it does, the problem is the PSU. If not, the UPS is likely causing the behavior.
