Hello everyone, I'm facing a problem with my PC where it shuts down unexpectedly and becomes unresponsive. This began after upgrading to the Ryzen 7000 series. Here are the observations and steps I've taken: Symptoms: System powers off after 5 to 60 minutes of operation; Occasional freezing issues Things attempted: Resetting CMOS, adjusting Windows settings, reinstalling RAM, using a different power supply, setting performance mode, checking CPU temps, inspecting event logs, performing memory tests, configuring power settings I've tried: New power supply, re-seating RAM, verifying Windows updates, enabling/disabling XMP, scanning for malware My Build: Custom - AMD Ryzen 7 7700X, GeForce RTX 3060 12GB, Cooler Master MasterBox Pro 5 RGB ATX Mid Tower (via PCPartPicker) I also checked power supply voltages with a multimeter and confirmed they're normal. If anyone has advice or solutions, please let me know. Thanks!

Executing the newest BIOS? Downloading the most recent chipset drivers from AMD straight away? Have you performed a stress test with tools such as OCCT, Prime95, Furmark, MSI Kombustor, Aida64, or Memtest86?

I'm not using the newest bios. No. Yes. It looks like it took a while before it turned off.

Consider your flash and refresh the drivers.

I changed the drivers but it keeps shutting off. I’m not sure what’s going on with the BIOS. If it stops during a BIOS flash, it could damage the motherboard.

No, it doesn't automatically shut down during the BIOS session. You can refresh the BIOS from inside it.

You're not alone—this can happen sometimes. It might be worth checking the power source or consulting the manual for troubleshooting steps.

Changing the BIOS settings requires some time—typically just a few minutes. Most systems remain stable during this process. However, there have been instances where it caused crashes, likely due to defective motherboards.

I concur with @191x7 about updating the BIOS first, as we don’t know which version is installed—the newest is F4b. Gigabyte has resolved many problems, making it easy to eliminate that issue. Regarding your Zen 4 upgrade, did you keep the same Windows installation after resetting, or did you install a new copy during setup?

I refreshed the bios but it remains disabled. I cleared the SSD and reinstalled Windows.
