CPU: CORE I5 10400F
GPU: RX 580 8GB
MOBO: Gigabyte H410MH V3
RAM: 16GB DDR4 (2x8GB) 2777MHz
PSU: Zalman ZM700-LX, 700W, ATX 2.31
SSD: SAMSUNG 970 EVO M.2
HDD: 2TB 7600RPM
OS: W11
For several months I faced an issue: under heavy load my PC would simply shut down; no BSOD appeared, only a power-off and restart. This mostly occurred during video editing, though it also happened occasionally when searching the event log I found 41 error codes.

Attempts to resolve included reducing the GPU's power by 8-10%, which temporarily helped but led to frequent restarts. Even after lowering the GPU voltage to 25%, restarts continued, especially during video editing sessions.

I also changed the power cable, suspecting it might not be providing sufficient power from the previous unit. Trying different GPUs didn’t change the problem—an RTX 2060 6GB worked just fine, while a GT 1030 did not.

I suspected the power supply unit could be the root cause, as it seemed capable of handling my system’s requirements, but I couldn’t test another one. Recently, I considered the possibility that the motherboard might be involved, though I haven’t managed to verify this yet.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
PSU: Zalman ZM700-LX, 700 W, ATX 2.31
What's the age of this PSU in your setup?
I installed it last summer, around a year ago.
I've used different GPUs before; the same happened with an RTX 2060 6GB, but it worked well with a GT 1030.
You might want to consider getting a more reliable 750W PSU from a trusted source and powering your system. The problem you're facing wasn't with the GPU or setup, it was definitely with the PSU itself.

The PSU in the build is nearly a year old. It's unclear if I can connect another PSU, but if I need to purchase a replacement, would it also be 750W? There seems to be no other way to verify that the issue was with the PSU without using another one.
