I have been using a ROG Strix pre-built PC for more than five years. The specifications include an FX10CS_GL10CS, Intel i5-9400F, GeForce GTX1650 with 4GB RAM, a 1TB HDD and a 256GB SSD (M.2 PCIe). Recently, I upgraded it with an additional 8GB of RAM to match the existing amount. There have been no issues so far, which has been very helpful. Recently, I installed a new monitor (MSI G2422C) and tested it with a game of BFV Breakthrough. After updating and shutting down the PC for Windows, the ‘HDMI no signal’ error appeared. I tried turning it on and off several times, removed the graphics card to check the PCIE connection, and confirmed it was intact without any pin damage. I also cleared out dust, but that didn’t resolve the problem. After removing the CMOS battery for ten minutes to clear the BIOS, the PC turned on and off repeatedly, yet the error persisted. The HDMI cables and monitors worked correctly when tested with my laptop. Is my graphics card possibly dead? Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
I’m not certain, but it seems the original PSU came with the pre-built version. The pre-built model was made in December 2019, which suggests around that time. I’ve attached a photo for your reference. Thank you for your assistance.
Do you often encounter anything other than a black screen and no signal during the process? If the BIOS prompt doesn't appear, it's probably a hardware problem. You might attempt to remove all but one RAM stick; if that fails, swap it with another to confirm the faulty one. If this still doesn't resolve the issue, it's likely not related to RAM. Unfortunately, you have a "F" CPU. It would have been simpler to check for a GPU issue if integrated graphics were available.
If you notice something and Windows attempts to load before showing no signal, it suggests a Windows problem. You could boot into rescue mode, uninstall the latest update, or perform a system restore.

It is likely that the PSU is a key suspect, possibly nearing or already at its end of life. This is especially true given its gaming history. I am not familiar with the brand and will wait for others who may provide more information about it or the PSU. Have you taken off the PSU and possibly other parts to obtain a photo? There appears to be a HDD in the background that seems unsecured.
What can be done now:
Check Reliability History/Monitor for error codes, warnings, or events logged just before or during the "no signal" messages. Other tools exist that are user-friendly and show patterns graphically.
Power down, unplug, and open the case.
Remove as much dust and debris as possible.
Confirm all connectors, cards, RAM, jumpers, and case connections are firmly installed.
Examine for damage such as exposed wires, melted components, bent or broken pins, loose screws, cracks, discoloration, swelling, or corrosion.
Secure the PSU to the case and the drive in a bay if feasible. The goal is to prevent movement and ensure proper airflow for cooling. This is generally a process of elimination to identify the exact cause.
Sadly, it didn’t resolve at all for both devices. I placed an order for a DP cable just in case the problem lies solely with the HDMI port. Still, it’s frustrating because then I can’t use dual monitors even if it functions properly.
Yes, I took off the PSU from the case to inspect the label. There is an HDD behind it, but it’s secured to the frame of the case. I’ve reviewed all the wiring and, aside from dust, everything looks fine. I’m unsure how to obtain the reliability history because it doesn’t connect to the monitor.
It looks like the focus is on needing a different functional GPU to replace the current one. Keep in mind that power supplies offer three voltage types (3.3, 5, and 12) for various system parts. This means the system might seem operational even if one voltage isn’t working properly. Do you have another known functional PSU that could be installed? That would be another viable solution for this challenging PC. (When changing power supplies, ensure you only use the cables provided with the new PSU.)
I don’t think so, but if the display port cable isn’t working, I’m likely to assume it won’t and end up purchasing a new power supply because I don’t have another one.
