Hello! I've been using my PC for several years now, with upgrades to the GPU, motherboard, and CPU. Along the way, I've faced some issues but they seem resolved. Recently, I started experiencing blue screens while using my computer normally. The error messages indicate problems across multiple programs, though I thought the Microsoft Store was the culprit. While this might be common, the frequency of these occurrences worries me. Additionally, when the blue screens appear, both monitors tend to go black simultaneously. If this happens, nothing seems to happen until I switch programs or close one. The open applications appear stuck in place; once opened, they function normally but close by selecting an unusual location across the two monitors. Clicking desktop shortcuts is difficult, and even when closing a program, I can't interact with it properly. Sometimes, when the monitors go black, the apps visually shift position, though their actual placement remains correct—like a 5 cm leftward shift in VS Code. I might be able to resolve the blue screen issues, but dealing with errors from so many programs is challenging. Please help me out! Thank you very much for your time. P.S. I sincerely apologize for my unclear explanations—I'm not very familiar with this stuff and don't have clear pictures of the monitor errors. The blue screens vary a lot between them.

I upgraded from an older version to a newer one. I didn’t perform a full clean install of Windows after the upgrade.

I’ve checked for issues, confirmed the RAM was installed correctly, and verified the power supply. Next steps could include running a memory test to ensure stability.

I also reinstalled it, sorry for that. I moved from the Aorus Z390 Elite with the i5-9400f to the B660 GAMING X DDR4 with the i5-12400f. I’m thinking about upgrading to an i7 12th or 13th generation.

I haven’t purchased any new components except for upgrades. I tried a few troubleshooting steps, but they’re no longer useful. The tests didn’t turn out very well. I ran a third-party RAM check and found many errors—over 50 or more. I’m not sure if that issue was fixed.

The work you provided is helpful and valuable. I agree with @mr moose's advice—testing the RAM to check for proper seating and any memory-related problems.

I plan to test the RAM, maybe upgrade it. Thanks! My two RAM slots are perfectly positioned, but the BIOS can detect that. It functions fine with one slot, but not when both are in the right place. Not sure if this matters or will matter later.

Run a memory test to check performance. Debugging code can help identify issues. Try using 'whocrashed' and examine the dump file for recoverable data.

No, you don't have to run it after a crash occurs.

You can use it whenever you have a dump file, which is generated during a BSOD.
