Pc shows blue screen issues after installing audio drivers
A few days back I put in a new CPU and RAM. Most things worked fine, except for the audio drivers. All my audio devices functioned except the speakers, so I thought it was the Realtek drivers. I downloaded the newest ones from my motherboard site, used the setup wizard, and installed them. But they didn’t actually install properly. So I decided to skip the installation and used my USB headset instead.
Later that night I looked up forums and found some discussions about going to Device Manager/Sound and installing old hardware. I tried that too. I selected the older option, installed the legacy drivers, then rebooted before restarting again. Now I just get a blue screen when Windows launches. After rebooting from the restored point, I still see the same issue. Blue screens persist even in Safe Mode. Right now I’m running the Windows memory diagnostic tool to see if it can help. I think I might have damaged my PC.
