I recently purchased a used PC from eBay, but it frequently black screens every 15 minutes. Anyone have suggestions? I've tried reinstalling Windows, cleaning the GPU pins, unplugging and replugging everything, deleting drivers, and reinstalling them.

Start the machine using USB to execute Memtest86, enabling a hardware check of the RAM and providing at least four full runs.

Black screening refers to a specific display setting, not just a lack of signal or power loss. It doesn’t mean the monitor fails to receive input, but rather a deliberate method to hide the screen. The PC may stop responding or restart without notice, depending on how it’s configured. It’s distinct from blue screen issues.

It seems the computer shuts down completely, yet components like fans continue to operate.

Consider updating the BIOS and resetting the CMOS as part of the troubleshooting. The power supply unit appears to be a likely suspect component to inspect.

It looks like your system is running on an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X CPU, Intel i3-4160 processor, 16 GB RAM, and an Intel i9-13900K motherboard. The Intel SSD is likely a standard SATA SSD, but it’s causing crashes during GPU driver updates.
