Hey guys, I've been facing some strange problems with my PC. It seems to lag right after the first boot—very unresponsive and the whole system slows down. I think it's still lagging even after a second boot, but the issue persists for a while. A quick fix is to restart it again and the lag disappears. My specs are 5900x, 3080ftw ultra, Corsair 32GB RAM. I suspect the 5900x might be the culprit, since I recently saw a blue screen after booting and it isn<|pad|>. It's not overclocked. Could this be related to the power supply? I have an old EVGA 850W unit about six years old. Also, today I encountered another odd problem: after the first boot, my main and side monitor went black, then blanked completely. The mouse cursor appeared on the side monitor with a blank screen, but after a few seconds everything normalized. I checked Task Manager right away—everything was running at low load except one tab using a lot of power. It's really weird.
Upgrading the power supply is usually a smart move, but it seems like the issue might be related to the SSD. You could try a different SSD or reinstall Windows.
your c drive ssd is likely quite old, possibly 6 to 7 years. you might want to consider a safe method to move the data without altering any settings. i checked its health three or four times using diskinfo, and everything looked normal. you could back up your files first, then proceed with the transfer to a new ssd.
This situation hasn't caught my attention either. I searched for any suspicious programs, but most of the odd-looking files seem to be legitimate system files. When I power off the PC, even immediately after startup, Windows indicates some applications are running and keeps a task manager window open for about ten seconds before shutting down.
