I think I've finally fixed the problem without needing to turn anything off. My RAM was set to a-xmp profile 2, which made it hard to post when I first built the PC. Now it works perfectly—no crashes in over five hours of play. After boosting the GPU by a few hundred MHz, increasing VRAM by 100 MHz, and slightly lowering the voltage, everything is smooth. I didn’t realize there was a big difference between the two profiles since they both have identical CAS timings, but there are many other power settings in the BIOS that I haven’t explored before.

I’m facing a similar issue with an identical error code (Event ID 41, Task Category 63) that’s really frustrating. I’ve tried everything—checking the event log, searching online, even changing PBO settings—but nothing works. Today I looked up “spider-man remastered pc kernel power error” and found a possible solution. I changed PBO to enabled in the BIOS and loaded the game. The fight against the prison escapeers went well for a while, but then I hit a sudden blackout during the final phase. It might have been due to power instability, even though I thought it was unlikely.

The only thing connecting us is the MSI B450 motherboard, which suggests the problem likely lies in the BIOS itself. I’m using the latest AMI BIOS 7C02vH9 from MSI, so it’s probably there. I’m planning to disable PBO again and see if it helps. I’m hoping this fix holds and that no one else has run into the same issue since.
