Problem: PC shuts down abruptly with a hard reset. The screen goes dark instantly, then lights and fans switch off briefly before coming back on and the system boots again. This started suddenly without any hardware changes. Frequency varies: last year in November it occurred 5-6 times daily, then decreased to 2-3 days, then resumed recently at the same rate. Solutions attempted include using two RAM modules, connecting a power strip with a voltage regulator, and trying direct wall socket connection. A metallic paper clip was used to test the power button, but the issue persisted. Someone suggested it might be GPU-related due to recent reports of artifacts, though I don’t have that issue. Recommended fixes involve ordering an RMA for the PSU. Specific parts listed: i5-8400 CPU, Gigabyte RX 580 graphics card (8GB), Asus Strix B360-F motherboard, Corsair Vengeance 8GB RAM (2666 MHz), ADATA 8GB RAM, Corsair RM750x PSU.
