Hello, since I upgraded to the new Ryzen 5 5600 CPU, replacing the Ryzen 3 3300x, my computer has been restarting unpredictably at random times without any warnings or errors. It simply restarts and everything seems normal. I managed to access the system logs related to the supposed issue, which show: a fatal hardware error occurred. Reported by component: Processor Core. Error Source: Machine Check Exception. Error Type: Bus/Interconnect Error. Processor APIC ID: 2. The detailed view of this entry includes more specifics.

my pc has been restarting unpredictably at irregular times without any warning signs.
such a sudden shutdown is usually caused by one of two factors;
1| an overheating problem
or
2| the power supply cannot provide enough energy when under load.
since i recently replaced my cpu with a ryzen 5 5600 which substituted the older model, i've been experiencing these issues. when sharing troubleshooting threads, it's important to provide complete system details. please list your specifications such as:
cpu:
cooler:
motherboard:
ram:
storage:
gpu:
power supply:
chassis:
operating system:
monitor:
additionally include the age of the power supply and the current bios version for your motherboard. we'll gain more clarity with this information.

Did not include the case make and model in the notes. Monitor temperatures using HWInfo and record them during the restart. Check the room air temperature. The only modifications were to the processor—swapping the Ryzen 5000 series for the Ryzen 1000, 2000, or 3000 series. It seems the VRM on your motherboard could be the problem; consider directing a fan toward that area to test. You have four RAM sticks; removing two and keeping slots A2 and B2 filled might help. Ensure you're using the latest chipset drivers for your platform, flash BIOS to version 10.43, reset CMOS, and verify if the issue persists.

The case I have no idea which one it is because it's quite old, which is why I didn't list it.
The only change I made was the processor, correct.
I will update my drivers and attempt to reset the CMOS, and I will do everything you suggested in the post as best as I can.
I will keep you informed whenever possible if anything important occurs, thank you for your time and attention.

The matter I have is not clear because it's quite old, which is why I didn't include it. Please send a picture of your case so it can be identified. Regarding sharing an image in this thread, you can refer to my linked guide on how to post images.

The old-style chassis resembles a model from the early 2000s. It would be helpful to add more images of its internal components and the ventilation system. You may also consider testing your PC's internal parts by breadboarding it to check for any rebooting problems.

This matter involves a museum collection and clearly isn't suited for current hardware cooling standards. You also possess four RAM modules. Perhaps your latest 5600 processor is sensitive to that, particularly if you combined two sets of two sticks. Does it restart unexpectedly or just during demanding activities such as gaming?

it restarts unexpectedly even without intensive work, so yes it happens randomly
