PC restarts often after gaming sessions, sometimes returning to Windows but other times leaving the system unresponsive with a slow reboot. Recent upgrades helped somewhat, especially after switching from a 3080 to a 3090 Ti, though the issue reappears occasionally. Adding more RAM resolved it temporarily. Recently playing Diablo IV caused frequent restarts, even after completing dungeons multiple times. The motherboard shows no error codes and the screen stays on, but performance remains inconsistent.

What is your powersupply? Please provide your full system spec. Initially hypothesis is a power related issue, probably not enough power.

I upgraded my power supply to be extra cautious, but it didn’t make a difference. Temperatures stayed normal and I check them on the second screen while gaming. My setup includes an i9-11900K, 3090ti, EVGA 1000W PSU with two 16GB RAM sticks (four 500GB and two 1TB), plus two 2TB Kraken CPU coolers.

You posted a new update, so I’ll address it here. For others responding, here’s the information from the other post: i9-11900K 3090ti with EVGA 1000W Corsair PSU, two 16GB RAM sticks, four SSDs (two 500GB, two 1TB), and a Kraken CPU cooler. Are you using XMP profiles? Any overclocking enabled? I still think there might be a power problem. Even with a 1000W PSU, it could lack sufficient stable power for sensitive parts during heavy use, causing the system to shut down for abnormal voltages.

The XMP profile is enabled, so I’ll disable it temporarily. All other overclock adjustments are now off—previously used for the 3080 but not anymore. I’m considering installing a 1300W power supply to test its impact.

I didn't find your motherboard listed. Some boards come with performance settings turned on by default. I might need to locate those and disable them. After that, I'll test it with some runs to check for crashes.

Consider adjusting power-saving options. Ensure sleep mode doesn't disable fast boot, and observe any improvements.

I updated the setup and ran Diablo again; it's working well with XMP enabled. Should I still choose the 1300W power supply so I can activate XMP without issues?

I just changed the PSU to 1300W and it rebooted again.

Review my discussions, I face the same problem too. I’m planning to back everything up and do a fresh Windows 11 setup—definitely worth it. Please share your specifications as well. I think the problem might stem from swapping out a lot of hardware and changing the BIOS on an untested Windows version. If the new install doesn’t fix it for either of us, I suspect the motherboard could be the culprit (possibly the PSU or RAM). Have you run any memory tests in Windows?
