PC restarts during gameplay
Hi all,
I'm facing a tricky issue that's really frustrating.
Recently, my second hard disk stopped working suddenly, which caused multiple crashes. After buying a new NVMe drive and installing Windows 11 (a really bad choice), everything seemed normal at first. But whenever I start a game after about five minutes, the PC just restarts or crashes. Even after several clean installs of Windows, it kept happening. I ran stress tests with memtest and OCCT, and everything passed without any problems—even the power supply test.
I still had my main SSD running Windows 10 somewhere, which I decided to use again, and it worked fine. But once I switched to the new NVMe as a secondary drive, the disk started disappearing again.
After a fresh Windows 10 install on the new NVMe, the same thing occurred—every game caused a reboot or crash.
I'm really confused because the old hard drive was functioning perfectly and passed all tests, yet it keeps failing on both Windows 11 and Windows 10.
Anyone have any suggestions about what might be going wrong?

We haven't had a clear picture of your specifications. Were you using an older version of Windows 10, perhaps pre-22H2, and for Windows 11 as well pre-24H2? We're still trying to figure this out without knowing your setup. Some systems are experiencing problems with the newest Windows updates on certain hardware.
During window installation, I make sure to connect only the SSD where the new files will reside. This helps keep everything organized and prevents problems that might arise from system files being stored elsewhere.
Have you attempted to remove your graphics card and see if a game launches with integrated graphics? This is essentially about eliminating components.
