PC remains inactive after changing to AHCI mode unless you revert it to IDE settings
Keep the system running in IDE mode. Execute the following steps. It should function correctly. Press the Start button, type 'cmd', right-click the output and select Run as administrator. Enter the command and press ENTER: bcdedit /set {current} safeboot minimal (ALT: bcdedit /set safeboot minimal). Restart your computer and enter BIOS Setup. Modify the SATA operation mode to AHCI instead of IDE. Save the changes and exit. The setup will close, and Windows will boot automatically in Safe Mode. Click the Windows Start Menu again. Choose Command Prompt (Admin). Type the command and press ENTER: bcdedit /deletevalue {current} safeboot (ALT: bcdedit /deletevalue safeboot). Restart once more; Windows will start using AHCI drivers by default.
