I constructed this machine two years ago, it was my initial project. From the start, whenever I powered it down through Windows, it would automatically power off and then restart right away. Pressing the power button while holding it still caused an immediate reboot. Even after turning off the power supply and waiting ten seconds, it wouldn’t turn back on by itself. It operates smoothly when active, but it fails to stay off. I’ve reinstalled Windows 10, updated the BIOS, disabled XMP settings, and adjusted fast boot options in both Windows and BIOS. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as I want to ensure this system can be powered down properly before starting a new build.

Consider checking for a malfunctioning external component. For instance, if you power off using a disconnected network cable (eliminating Wake on PCIe), then restart with the keyboard unplugged, and finally attempt again with the mouse plugged in, the issue might stem from a defective hardware item. Also, remove any other peripherals that could trigger system wake-ups, such as Bluetooth adapters or dongles.
