PC release announced for Valkyria Chronicles.
PC release announced for Valkyria Chronicles.
The game features stunning artwork and more sophisticated narrative elements than typical titles, making it a standout choice for me. I'm eager to experience it in enhanced quality with improved settings and stable performance. ***Update*** It's now available for pre-order on Steam. Launch date is November 11, 2014. Cost is $19.99 USD. System needs are listed on the store page. Note - a toaster would need to be able to run it. The game supports 1080p and 60fps.
I didn’t watch the second version; the shift from adult experiences in wartime to teen life in a military high school didn’t catch my attention. I wanted to see a Let’s Play, but I often forget about it.
It seems like a solid port is coming along. It’s already in your Steam library. I’ll keep an eye out and update you once it’s available for reviews on appearance and performance.
Early thoughts after going through the first mission: Most menu buttons don’t accept mouse input, so you’re forced to use WASD or arrow keys. Confirm should be the space bar, and Enter seems to do nothing from what I understand. Mouse control works well during battles and when checking around. It looks good visually, though I’d like more accessibility options. I plan to try forcing AA through the Nvidia control panel later and see how it affects things. There are many resolution settings available. Online users have shared 4K at 120Hz screenshots as an option. Not outstanding, but decent.
