I updated my PC recently with a new case, cooler, and fans. The main components stayed the same—same CPU/GPU/RAM, identical SSDs in the same slots, and the same Intel AX200 Wi-Fi card. I’m using dual-boot: 2TB SSD with Windows 11 (perfect performance) and 500GB SSD with Linux (slow and unstable). After rebuilding, Linux became very sluggish, especially for Wi-Fi, while Windows ran smoothly. I tried reinstalling Linux, changing distros, and even swapping the USB header cable, but nothing helped. The only change I noticed was moving the internal USB header from the AX200 Wi-Fi card to another port, though I later switched it back. The main question is: Did I overlook something or should I have adjusted things after moving from one case to another?

I’d reinstall Linux once more, this time repartitioning and reformatting the drive. Then I’d use a disk check tool to verify the SSD isn’t causing problems.

I restored it again, but this time I repartitioned and reformatted the drive, and everything worked properly. Thank you.
